Introduction

Parker’s Walk is an awareness and fund-raising event in support of Parker's House, a transitional home for the homeless of Durham, NC. Parker's Walk is a fun way to get in your daily exercise and at the same time, support a vital program currently helping a family break the grip of homelessness for good. The walk will be held Saturday, September 19 on the East Campus of Duke University. There are two routes - choose the one that suits your walking style:

  • 1.5 mile route - This is a relatively easy route without any major hills. Begin at the statue of Washington Duke on East Campus and walk along the wall surrounding East Campus, finishing up back where you started.
  • 3.5 mile route - This route is more challenging. Begin at the statue of Washington Duke on East Campus, walk to the West Campus Quad and then back to the statue on East Campus.
